Is it though? Sounds more like a single team's preference, and not necessarily a team of FE engineers

Thanks for improving on ACF. The plugin went downhill after the creator stepped away, IMO.

A while back, I bought a lifetime "Pro" license for ACF. It worked great for years. The last few times I tried ACF though, the admin experience felt degraded. My impression was their early customers had become an afterthought.

Looking forward to trying SCF. I have higher hopes for the plugin now.

Hey Matt!

Your idea of bringing ACF Pro functionality into WordPress Core would be amazing. The functionality really takes WordPress to the next level.

The ACF Pro plugin itself has enshittified though. Those with lifetime licenses now get a degraded product. WP Engine only seems to offer subscriptions to ACF Pro now.

Speaking of WP Engine, they broke my friend's website a few months back with a sloppy rollout. Took us hours to fix. I won't recommend WP Engine again. Or ACF Pro if y'all bring the functionality into Core.

Keep up the great work!

They mention full IP obfuscation.

The article mentions "And, indeed, even Alphabet/Google internally have said this."

Just a reminder, any employee can write a document saying anything.

This local backend feature seems pretty powerful for free/offline editing: https://decapcms.org/docs/beta-features/#working-with-a-loca...

North Korea laundered a billion dollars through Tornado https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/currencies/north-ko...
Obviously, GitHub is private property
Obviously, the threat is deployed forks with high TVL
I'm hoping the government makes money laundering harder. North Korea laundered a billion dollars through Tornado: https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/currencies/north-ko...
That's good to hear, because the code itself should be considered free speech
Hopefully the government can identify any forks that achieve meaningful TVL and taint the coins
Tornado needs TVL to effectively launder money for criminals. Forks without much TVL don't seem that dangerous
I'm glad Google called the cops, someone needed to investigate a possible crime
Seems like we're hearing only one side of the story

Google offers a lot. They want to offer more. The market will determine what's valuable.

It's getting better every year, in my opinion, though sometimes it has growing pains

Re:Bandcamp is waiving fees today in support of artists on Saturday May 02, 2020 @03:56PM (#23054429)
Gentle Return released his new album on May 1st, so the timing was perfect. I've heard from musician buddies that even with the normal fees, Bandcamp gives them a much larger cut of song/album sales than iTunes, and apparently streaming revenues from Spotify, Apple Music, etc are a joke.
Right on, thanks for sharing your knowledge on this!
That sounds very cool! Which compute stick do you have, the Intel Atom Z8350? Also, have you experimented with ways to change effects on the fly?
