I saw another suggestion elsewhere for 'tldr'
So that we don't go around assuming everyone on the internet is American...
Re:Hacker News is 44% 18-24 year olds, 77% male on Thursday August 23, 2012 @06:15AM (#4421648)
Why?
Not sure about the vouchers idea. You can already get milk vouchers and I've seen people exchange them for things other than milk.

Does it allow you to format your commit messages?

Can I get them with a prescription? :/

Nice - I found a few new subreddits to subscribe to, so a very good job!
Re:Heroku down on Tuesday January 31, 2012 @07:19AM (#3532942)
By adding to the requests to the status page. As commented below, we've slowed it right down!

I don't have a site on Heroku, but I clicked through anyway - it's on the top of Hacker News, so must be worth looking at.

Re:Heroku down on Tuesday January 31, 2012 @06:20AM (#3532794)
Excuse me, but why is this top of Hacker News?

Services go down sometimes, especially cloud ones. No need to make it harder for them by voting it to the top of a major tech news site...

edit - spelling

Re:A simple guide for getting started with git on Monday January 09, 2012 @10:19AM (#3442792)
Please add Git Extensions ( http://code.google.com/p/gitextensions/).

It's the best Windows Git client I've found so far.

Re:Mint.com turns 404 ad page into date ad for developer on Wednesday December 07, 2011 @05:41AM (#3323281)
Damn, I guess we'll never find out seeing as there aren't any on the internet at all...

(also, maybe Justin likes boys.)

Edit: It would seem sarcasm falls on deaf ears at Hacker News. Note my feminine username...

That's good news.

The Introduction to Development video does not currently have them and I haven't really poked around at other videos.

Please add subtitles to the videos. I don't always watch with sound and would like to be able to read as I go along.
They also don't play well with air conditioning, which tends to be prevalent in offices.

I went back to glasses anyway, because I missed the way they look on my face.

Petty.
Re:Museum of me - A museum made from your own facebook data on Wednesday June 01, 2011 @06:25AM (#2606703)
Does anyone have a link of this working with someone else's Facebook account? I only have an account for other people to find me, I don't actually use it (and I wouldn't give an app access to all my data even if I did...)

Re:Facebook hackathon special airs on MTV tonight on Wednesday March 30, 2011 @05:56AM (#2386474)
Agreed. I'm still confused how they are going to make this interesting to the masses... Hell, even watching Coders code as a Coder can be dull.
