I use them frequently but I'm skeptical of their "private" claims.
I asked one of the DDG ChatGPT bots about some error output from a program and apparently forgot to redact a URL. I found the DDG bot trying to access it about half an hour later. It was a long and randomly generated alpha-numeric subdomain and the conversation never discussed the URL or anything related to it- it was simply buried in the pasted error output. I think this was even before the DGG bots had web search capability. I was thoroughly spooked.
You don't even need to go that far to think its a bad name. The anglosphere can't even agree on the pronunciation and spelling.
Malicious actors will certainly take advantage of this as well.
I think a lot of drugs are like this though. When concerns and worries are removed, you have more mental capacity for the task at hand.
Small amount of psychoactive substances seem to help a lot of people get into "the zone".
I have the same sentiment. I've never really had success using Gemini outside of translation. Although, even with that, Gemini would often refuse and I had to remind it that it does actually know other languages.
My most recent trials output single commas as responses to basic questions or it simply refuses the task on ethical grounds such as generating a photo of a backpack wearing a hoodie for some reason (it claimed harmful stereotypes and instead generated an ape).
Refusing to do perfectly ethical tasks is probably the most consist problem I've had.
I use a Firefox profile to watch specific videos while logged-out just for the focused recommendations.
I've also noticed that I getting more recommendations for small creators with little to no views/subs when I'm browsing from a smaller, developing country.
The article I read a few days ago said that the tattoo artist posted on Instagram advertising their arrival to the US and taking clients. They had done the same with the previous destination on their tour.
If it's true, it seems pretty open and shut, so I'm not really sure why this is popping up on HN now.
A few weeks ago I noticed my cheap Toshiba microwave does the same when the door button is partially pressed. Scary! I stood there holding it just right for a very long time to make sure it wouldn't heat a cup of water.
The author mentions a few social media sites but there are no links in the article or the "about" section to actually follow. I would have liked to have their content in my feed.
I assumed it was just a bad look dumping WD-40 straight into the environment
Toric lenses align themselves, the mark is for visual inspection by the doc while in the eye.
My lesson came while ARP poisoning, when I saw that a teacher was using their social security number as their password.
Suddenly I realized even dumping passwords was an invasion of privacy, even if I didn't use them. And that passwords should never contain sensitive information!
I always wondered what became of Hipster Runoff.
>Showing a realistic depiction of a tornado or other weather events moving toward a real city that didn’t actually happen
A bit funny considering a realistic warning and "live" radar map of an impending, major, natural disaster occurring in your city apparently doesn't violate their ad policy on YouTube. Probably the only time an ad gave me a genuine fright.
I used to do this. Then when Google's search results started declining in quality, I often found it better to search by what the average user would probably write.
Yeah that was definitely a concern ahah. But it was a past and short-lived life and tipping big was definitely a favorite hobby at the time, so I'm sure that if I completed the order that he got a stack!
I remember being able to put in a negative tip to zero out the order cost, checkout, and tip in cash. So I don't find this shocking.
I was surprised to find RC is also common in the country Georgia (Sakartvelo), but Coke seemed to most common, and I do not recall ever seeing an RC advertisement, especially with tanks.
I saw it mentioned in that thread but I can also back up the anecdotal evidence that a stem mount doesn't seem to cause this issue after 6 years. My bike was inline however. YMMV.
Just checked NewPipe on a MrBeast video.
There is an option now to select the audio track and MrBeast uploads dubs in more than a dozen languages.
This is a great comment because in my motorcycle group of roughly ~60 or 70 people over the years, maybe 25% have owned a Miata. Apparently the motorcycle+miata crossover is huge. Usually along with an SV650 or DRZ at some point as well.
I never had a Miata but I did buy a DRZ and have a blast on it for about 4 hours. The following morning it wouldn't start and after spending all the time I was willing to spend on doing valves/carb/etc, I decided that the 450 kit was to blame, so I just traded it for a 2stroke! I do hope a sumo will be in my future now that I live in a city, though.
Good luck on your Miata endeavors, I'm sure you wont regret it!
As usual, Miata is the answer. But in a world where the Miata doesn't exist, which car do you think you would have chosen for this project?
For anyone else following these steps:
Be sure to scroll down to click "Download APK" below the version that you want to download, and not the giant "DOWNLOAD F-DROID" button right above it.
This was a bit confusing on mobile before I came back and scrolled down the page some.
>..the twitter "hack" was someone running phone numbers through the "upload you contacts and find your friends account" feature.
>They are both barely stories, except to remind people that posting stuff publicly is public.
The reoccurring issue is that Twitter and other companies are convincing (and often forcing) you to do something unsafe like linking your phone number, while telling you that your data will be kept private and at the same time opting you in by default, or aggressively marketing, an option that compromises your security.
I'm sure you may be smart enough to know this compromises your anonymity, allows stalkers to find your phone number, etc. but the 99% of users wont.
Linking everything to a phone number is a major dark pattern that benefits the corporations while compromising the user. So rightfully, these malicious and harmful practices should be called out.
As a teen, it was incredibly exciting to find a VA prescription blank dated 1940s in a first edition of Otto Fenichel's The Psychoanalytic Theory of Neurosis that I picked up at a thrift store.
Same here. I was fairly active on my Instagram and used it directly from the app on my phone. One day, while using the search function, I suddenly got locked out.
I sent in the selfie and haven't heard back in over 6 months.
Perhaps try a DNS leak test?
