Cisco over the last years, has been nothing but a flurry of security issues, hundreds ( thousands? ) of CVEs and usually are well known to ship their devices with hardcoded passwords and hidden accounts.
It got so bad, that in their last global event in Amsterdam in the keynote ( available on YouTube ) their CEO (or CTO.. cant recall) started within the first minutes by apologizing for the past security issues.
Nothing on this is likely to stop this trend.

Nobody takes seriously those gaming metrics. University rankings are based on how many researchers, you can get to pretend they are teaching at your University...based on the extortionate funds you get from students more interested in partying at their AlphaPis.
All this while said Researchers offload the real work the students are paying for... to TAs.

They are probably doing at the request, and in the future even paid for, by LLM providers...
The current AI Ethos is morality is just another obstacle on the way to their IPO. ...Lets just hope after they get rich, they stay away, and dont bother us with books, videos and conference speeches on entrepreneurship mentoring...

The Bedrock models are hosted at AWS.

Bedrock guarantees neither your inputs are shared with the LLM providers, neither your data will be used to train the next model. I dont think AWS loves AI that much...to break their business model with a violation of terms and conditions.
But I was not even suggesting that, just run your local LLM on Cloud infra. Do you really believe they are ready to risk their Cloud business just to spy on your prompts?

Would it make more sense to just rent the infra from a Cloud provider just for amortization purposes? While...and this depending on the the Cloud provider...getting the same guarantees of governance and personal sovereignty?
