This title/headline didn't really have anything to do with the content...
Apple added 74 px vertically and the notch lives entirely in that space. It's simply more real estate. What is the "problem" they've created? That's like complaining about my apartment coming with a balcony

Right! Most people ignore each other in coffee shops and airport lobbies. Our attention is already stretched so thin, parent should not feel entitled to mine

How much money could it possibly save? It might be more worth it to sell your GPU & buy a cheaper one. You might even be able to run at a higher framerate with those savings!
Victims are not always blameless. In this instance, victims are well informed about the consequences of borrowing & choose to consent. One could even argue that creditors who do not get paid are victims - they're the ones who provided funds to the borrower for them to enjoy their goods

Obviously, one should not blame a murder/rape victim

I agree with your sentiment with the DMV, but I would remove USPS from your example.

That specifically is not federally funded, does have alternatives (FedEx, UPS), is under both economic & political pressure to compete, AND outcompetes the private alternatives by serving all addresses in the continental US. In fact, FedEx and UPS often add USPS to their routes for last-mile deliveries when it is economically advantageous - so it is those private carriers who are being subsidized by USPS

Look, undeniably, the Russian invasion of Ukraine is a bad thing. It's not constructive to dredge up unrelated bad actions from other actors

Why does it matter where this person was 8 years ago? Undeniably, the Russian invasion of Ukraine is a bad thing. Please be mindful to leave constructive comments that add to the conversation
How much onshoring did orange man actually do? According to St. Louis FRED - https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/MANEMP - basically nothing

> call him an idiot!

And you were and still are right to do that!

Why not decentralize this democratic decision further - let individuals choose whether they're pro-choice or pro-life?

Are we reading the same article? Here's the text from article mentioning climate change

# 4. Climate change hasn’t helped. “Increasing heat, changing rain and snow patterns, shifts in plant communities, and other climate-related changes have vastly increased the likelihood that fires will start more often and burn more intensely and widely than they have in the past,”

To be clear, that guy was deemed racist for promoting stereotypes from a position of power. There are ways of fighting against CCP / Chinese govt. aggression without resorting to racism
