The difference vs the rest of the web is so stark, I don't read the sites linked by HN posts anymore. I just read the HN comments.
It's not just size, but also JS execution time, reinvention, poorly, in JS, of features the browser has natively, and endless modals.

Does WebVR work yet? Last time I tried it in Firefox, it showed a stereoscopic image on the screen, but nothing in my Rift.

Guessing: even if you don't have assets in EU, you have a Google (or Facebook, or Amazon) account, and Google has assets in EU. EU could ask Google to ban you, or else.

Good to know I'm not the only one to think of this: a phone app that asks what you want and then orders you around. For me, it's the other way around. I find a piece of technology that I want to use, and then, sometimes, it comes with a new programming language I have to learn. For example, I didn't install Python and then wonder what to do with it. I was using Mercurial, had a need for a custom plugin, so I learned Python so I could write the plugin.
