Mythbusters lifted a 2 ton car using a consumer grade vacuum cleaner. the math is this: the air pressure over 1 sq meter is about 10 tonnes, so if make a box with that area and reduce the pressure by 0.25 atm, you get a force of equivalent to 2.5 tonnes, enough to lift the car.

Countries with sane laws include a tolerance limit to take into account flaws in speedometers and radars. Here in Brazil, the tolerance is 10%, so tickets clearly state "driving at speed 10% above limit".
My personal favourite is "JayScript".
I don't know enough of the 8086 so I don't know if this works the same, but on the Z80 (which means it was probably true for the 8080 too), XOR A would also clear pretty much all bits on the flag register, meaning the flags would be in a known state before doing something that could affect them.
The last thing we need is more enshitification on this space.
I just migrated my selfhosted email server to Hetzner and I don't want them turning into monstrosity like AWS or Azure, with theit miriad of ways to nickel and dime the customers.
dirt cheap Nvidia GPUs, perhaps ?
Having both screens on the outside doesn't let you use the main cameras when folded, Apple would never do that.
It's much easier to smuggle a USB drive with Windows updates than it is a few tonnes of metal.
Then China will switch a billion desktops to Linux and the US will still need rare earths.
That is assuming the objects will be at the same place relative to us, which is not true. Like reaching Andromeda. Voyager I will reach oyr neighbouring galaxy in roughly 4.5 billion years, not 45, that's because Androneda is moving in our direction. Reaching Proxima Centaury would take longer than your estimation because of it's orbit around Alpha Centauri A/B.
Estimating time-to-arrival when your destination is also moving at ludicrous speeds is incredibly difficult.
If China has a monopsony on soy beans, then they nogociate from a position if power, because the US either sells on their terms or see the beans rot.
Many banks and Fintechs here offer this, the trick is that you need to open a local office, so you have a Brazilian subsidiary with a CNPJ number in order to open a bank account and receive the money.
There are plenty of companies in Brazil that offer PIX payments to foreign e-shops. Valve has been accepting PIX for some time now, for example.
Some languages do it way more frequently. Take my native Portuguese. Brazil had 3 ortographic reforms in the 20th century, while Portugal had 5 in the same period, all before the "Ortographic Accord" of 1990, that unified ortography in both countries.
That's good for small rewinds, but with a Bic pen, you can rewind the whole tape as fast (maybe even faster than some) ad a tape deck. Just slide the pen in the spool and start spinning the cassete.
Like this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yk8v9Ijp1So
It's such a versatile product. I bet everyone here who's older than 45/50 have at least once used a Bic pen to rewind a cassete tape.
I also used the plastic clip as a stapler remover.
There were many other uses for it, for sure.
That's because WSL2 implements an X11 client and sets the DISPLAY variable. X11 network transparency does the rest. You can do the same on Linux, as long as you're to learn how X11 arcane permission system works.
For corpos, I attribute it to BOTH. They're malicious AND stupid.
More like a documentary of the last eight.
Brazilian punk rock band Garotos Podres (Rotten Kids) recorded a song called "Papai Noel Filho da P#*&@" (Santa Claus Son of a B&#£¢). It's an Anarcho-Socialist anthem that exposes how Santa is a "capitalist pig" that "rejects the poor", "gifts the rich and spits in the poor" (quotes from the song).
Slightly changed radio lyrics: https://www.letras.mus.br/garotos-podres/46145/
A large enough telescope in space, with a coronagraph could, in teory, find such planets by direct imaging. Right now, I believe only JWST fits the bill, but using it for this purpose would interfere with other types of research, so the coronagraph us used only only to observe planets the wer already discovered by other methods.
Taiwanese law forbids TSMC manufacturing chips abroad using their latest process, so no 2nm in the US fabs, this leaves Intel's 18A as the mist advanced one in US soil.
So does fission reactors. Modern French nuclear subs are powered by 48 MW reactors. They're still expensive to build and maintain.
> won't be alive to see the full dream of infinite cheap energy come true.
You won't. Sorry for being cynical, but the true cost of energy is the capital invested in the equipment to harvest it. A fusion reactor would be at the minimum, as expensive as a fission one, which means all that capital will have to be amortised over the years. This doesn't even take into account the cost of extracting deuterium from sea water or producing helium 3 and tritium from lithium. Fusion doesn't even solve the problem of nuclear waste, since it will create radioactive isotopes by bombarding components of the reactor with neutrons.
You want cheaper, cleaner energy ? Solar and wind with battery storage is the best option, and it's already here, no need need to wait for fusion magic that may or may not happen in our lifetimes.
> It is much harder to wipe one guy's data just because he pissed you off and get away with it.
The point parent was making is that corporations are doing that, since corpos are now persons, thanks to Citizens United, any argument about this being bureaucratic, autocratic or what not, is moot.
Fact is, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, etc. frequently deactivate and wipe user accounts with disastous consequences for the victims.
Interesting fact, Brazilian composer and multi-instrumentalist Sivuca[0], was from the same region of the country, played the same instruments in the same styles as Hermeto and was Albino too. They were frequently mistaken for each other.

All numbers are imaginary.
sqrt(-1) should have been called w, for "weird".
