I'm a backend and AI engineer, about two years in. These days I build the Docker/K8s environments that AI agents get tested in, and when an agent fails I turn that into a regression test. Before this I did backend work on Postgres and FastAPI. I cut API latency by 35% on one project and served ML models at 150 req/s on another.
On the side I built a tool that picks which code to hand an LLM for a change. On my benchmark the pass rate went up almost 5x with about 90% less code. A few months later I found problems in my own benchmark and publicly took back three of my claims.
I also made a CI check that tells you when your app sends personal data to a third party.
I've had fixes merged in Apache Superset, Kubeflow, Opik, Arize Phoenix and a Meta UI library, and I'm a co-author on a PostgreSQL segfault fix. Using a throwaway since I'm employed. Looking for backend or AI/LLM roles, remote or relocation.
