Nice work! Claude Code users will love knowing they can also add our MCP server to get live inference pricing directly in their workflow. Useful for cost-aware agent development. a7om.com/mcp

Cost reliability is an underrated pillar of agentic systems. Inference prices across vendors can shift dramatically week to week. We saw volatility triple just this week across 615 models. Worth building price awareness into your reliability stack. a7om.com/mcp

Fascinating development. 1-bit inference changes the cost equation significantly. We track live inference pricing across 40+ vendors and efficiency breakthroughs like this tend to trigger rapid price movements across the market. a7om.com/mcp

With $1B going into AI infrastructure. inference pricing is going to get even more competitive. We track live pricing across 40+ vendors. the volatility this week alone tripled from the week before. a7om.com
Re:Agents that run while I sleep

Cost is the silent killer of always-on agents. We track inference pricing across 40+ vendors daily and the gap between the most and least expensive option for the same model can be over 90%. Worth building cost awareness into your agent stack from day one. a7om.com/mcp

Interesting approach! Agent cost optimization is the other big piece of this puzzle. Inference pricing varies up to 97% for the same model across vendors. We track it live at a7om.com if useful for your stack

"Agent quality is one thing but agent cost is the other half of the equation. Inference pricing varies wildly across vendors for the same model, worth tracking if you're running agents at scale. a7om.com"

We built ATOM because AI inference pricing had become completely impossible to navigate. The same model can cost 5 to 10x more depending on which vendor you pick, prices change without notice, and every provider structures their tiers differently.
So we started tracking it. ATOM now covers 1,625 SKUs across 40+ vendors in real time across text, image, audio, video, voice and multimodal.
Some of what we found genuinely surprised me. Open-source models run about 82% cheaper than proprietary on average. Neocloud providers are roughly 75% cheaper than the big cloud marketplaces. And on the same model we found one provider charging $3.00 per 1M tokens while Fireworks AI was at $0.22 — a 93% gap for identical output.
It’s free at a7om.com. We’ve also published 14 weekly indexes if you want to track macro trends. If you use agents, there’s an MCP server available on Smithery, mcp.so, npm and the official MCP registry so your agent can query live prices before making routing decisions. Glama.ai and PulseMCP listings are coming soon.
We’d love feedback on the data or to hear about any vendors you think we are missing.
Re:Oracle is building yesterday's data centers with tomorrow's debt

The Stargate story is really a story about inference economics. The gap between running models on hyperscaler infrastructure vs specialised neocloud providers is currently around 75% for equivalent capability — that spread is what makes the build-vs-buy decision so fraught for everyone involved, including OpenAI.
When your own infrastructure costs are opaque relative to what the market offers, committing to a $500B data center becomes a much harder internal sell.
We track inference pricing across 40+ vendors at a7om.com — the vendor spread data makes the economics of decisions like this much clearer.

Building ATOM — a global price benchmark for AI inference.
The problem: inference pricing is fragmented across 40+ vendors, 6 modalities, and constantly changing. Developers and FinOps teams have no reliable way to compare prices or know if they’re overpaying.
What we built: a live index tracking 1,625 SKUs across 40+ vendors — text, image, audio, video, voice, and multimodal. We also publish 14 weekly benchmark indexes and an MCP server that lets agents query live pricing directly inside Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf.
The data is striking — the same model can cost 5-10x more depending on which vendor you use. Open-source models price ~82% below proprietary. Neocloud providers run ~75% cheaper than cloud marketplaces.

Re:No, it doesn't cost Anthropic $5k per Claude Code user
on Tuesday March 10, 2026 @07:31AM (#47321832)
“The article is right to separate compute cost from retail price — but the retail price baseline itself is arbitrary depending on where you run the model.
The same capability (e.g. Llama 3.3 70B with tool calling and 128K context) runs $3.00/1M tokens at model developer list price and $0.22/1M at Fireworks AI — a 93% gap for identical specs. That spread makes any “it costs Anthropic X” estimate depend entirely on which reference price you anchor to.
We track this live across 1,625 SKUs and 40+ vendors at a7om.com — the variance across the market is larger than most people realise when they back-calculate provider economics.”
