"You are both always in control"

First thing you see in the video is that this isn't true

The demo game has some questionable issues.

The un-design is what makes it appealing to me

4chan gets this right.
Re:Last.fm Radio to be killed off in most countries next month on Thursday December 13, 2012 @11:00AM (#4916237)
No shock really, they seem to have been completely stagnant for years now
Re:4Chan Accepts Bitcoin on Thursday December 13, 2012 @06:38AM (#4915320)
HackerNews Accept Bitcoin?
Re:Flickr Has the Opportunity to Become the Next Flickr on Thursday December 13, 2012 @05:35AM (#4915197)
Because no one would care?

Tumblr/Flipboard do this better already and the data can be anywhere from the internet not locked up in Flickr

Re:Flickr Has the Opportunity to Become the Next Flickr on Thursday December 13, 2012 @05:33AM (#4915194)
Flickr is a brilliant lesson in how not to run a company

Which is 1?

Re:Google Maps for iOS on Thursday December 13, 2012 @05:28AM (#4915179)
Seems that Google can't program smooth animations even on an OS that was built with them in mind
Re:Google Maps for iOS on Thursday December 13, 2012 @05:09AM (#4915139)
This is the main issue with Apple Maps.

- Type Pub name, "Not Found"

- Type Postcode, It points to completely the wrong street

- Type street name/number, it thinks I mean some street in America (Map screen was focused on london)

Doesn't seem like much for something so huge
Re:Black Ink beta, we need your feedback on Tuesday December 11, 2012 @07:04AM (#4904190)
Looks great but Windows only is pretty short sighted when the generative artwork community is mostly mac orientated, just check out http://www.creativeapplications.net
Re:Apple blocking SkyDrive from iOS store, wants cut of revenue on Tuesday December 11, 2012 @06:54AM (#4904166)
How is this a surprise, it's right there in the app store documents.

This is Microsoft complaining they should be except from the rules just because they're big. This is the beauty of the App Store, doesn't matter how big you are you still get treated the same as the little guy

Re:Half of all app store revenue goes to just 25 developers on Wednesday December 05, 2012 @08:00AM (#4876025)
Wipeout was one of the launch titles in the UK and featured techno/dance music on the soundtrack
Re:Lego Finds Discontinued Set For Boy Who Saved Up For 2 Years on Wednesday December 05, 2012 @06:10AM (#4875775)
"what I loved as a kid wasn't that I was building a replica of some fictional universe, it was that I could create the universe in my head as I was building it."

Completely agree, this really saddens me too. Played with lego so much as a kid and I never tried to build things from films. It should be about your own imagination

Re:Lego Finds Discontinued Set For Boy Who Saved Up For 2 Years on Wednesday December 05, 2012 @06:08AM (#4875768)
Lego sets based on movies are such BS. It should be about your own imagination not just recreating star wars and harry potter crap
Re:Adobe Gaming on Tuesday December 04, 2012 @05:33AM (#4870265)
Been saying for years they should be pushing it for games instead of web 2.0 apps (which it is terrible at)
Re:WiFi Signals Caught on Camera on Tuesday December 04, 2012 @04:54AM (#4870179)
Terrible idea, don't give those morons who think wifi is harmful any more ammunition
No idea why people use it when LINE exists
> it's unfair to ask her to have an in depth knowledge

Double clicking install.exe is now considered "in depth knowledge"

Imagine if Mojang was run by someone who could actually finish a single project properly
Blame Rovio, Tiny Wings and Whoever makes Wheres My Water etc.

They had hit games, made sequels and therefore had the power to push the market value back up again (even by some small increments) but instead they chose to sell for the smallest amount Apple allows again.

Re:Glitch Is Closing on Thursday November 15, 2012 @07:11AM (#4788177)
I was disappointed to hear when he joined there, knew it would end like this and would rather he build his own things.
Re:Glitch Is Closing on Thursday November 15, 2012 @07:10AM (#4788174)
Said he was targeting that, but anyone who played it would tell you how utterly mindless the game was.

Literally was just wander about clicking and waiting for progress bars.

Re:Glitch Is Closing on Thursday November 15, 2012 @07:05AM (#4788162)
Nice art direction… but the gameplay was even more mindless than Farmville, few steps above CowClicker
if you can figure out how to uninstall things in it
Apple only use your email for sending Apple software and hardware news.

They don't sell you out to 3rd party advertisers like Microsoft has sold their Metro and Xbox UIs.
