You never know if learning calculus will make you discover new things that you might like to pursue. Also, you never know if you will need it or not apriori. By that logic, you shouldn't learn anything until you need it, wich I think would be a disaster.
Re:Ask HN: Do you think AI agents can escape human control?

The real problem is that there will always be bad actors that won't give a sht what AI might do, as long as it benefits them.

I hate some airline polices as much as anyone, and it is absolutely terrible to loose a meeting, family reunion, cruise ship vacation, etc. for something like this, but it is way worse to die. If airlines compensated with whatever money you think you deserve, the tickets would cost way more than they already are.
Shit happens. You are not entitled to compensation for everything shitty that happens in the world.

The current government is the most incompetent and corrupt ever.
And we had a really low bar already.

The word typing is wrong.
It is not about the speed of typing code.
Its about the speed of "creating" code: the boilerplate code, the code patterns, the framework version specific code, etc.

The very first sentence of the article:
"Will Apple turn to Intel for production of its M-series chips in 2027? "
So it is not returning to Intel architecture.
