Those people do not sound very rational.
Bin it and start again but this time without AI.

If you are writing something that will be used that infrequently then I'd suggest (at least in a web dev context) that you are not "most people".
True. But they aren't as rioty.

You can criticise Apache for many things but lack of features is surely not one of them. It comes with the kitchen sink and has plenty of add-ons for all those extra cases you might want.

I'd also take issue with the "poor performance" slur. It's never going to beat out lighttpd for pure static speed but all the "poor" benchmarks I have see for it are entirely due to low quality (or no) configuration. Configure it properly and it flies.

Cavey-wavy. Ahem.

You are probably already aware of https://shlinkedin.com/ but it is worth a mention just in case. I think you might enjoy it.

It's a javascript animation library. I can only presume that this info was left out of the headline in order to generate clicks.

Consume it how, exactly? Are the staff drinking it all? Because the the kit sure as hell isn't. :-/
Re:Ubuntu 26.10 completes transition to Rust-based coreutils on Tuesday September 15, 2026 @07:27AM (#49710894)
It may not inherently make it better (for some meanings of "better") but it certainly makes it more secure and more stable. Those are attributes which I would value very highly in coreutils.
Re:CSS Curiosities of the Past on Friday September 11, 2026 @09:10AM (#49657848)
And that point was when the public sector finally abandoned IE6. It has all been peachy since then.
Re:Claude is no longer available for minors on Friday September 11, 2026 @09:08AM (#49657809)
So, if I can fake being under 18 then all these AI bots will now leave me be, right? This sounds like a winner.
Re:No Man's Sky Cosmos on Thursday September 10, 2026 @09:16AM (#49643226)
"saying technically true things in ways to mislead large numbers of people" is pretty much the textbook definition of marketing in general. I'm not sure why one might expect the marketing for gaming generally or this game in particular to be any different.

Or a dried-fruit retailer.

I do hope not. That sounds utterly horrendous.

At this point github is barely managing one nine.

An alternative set of ideologies is part of what makes it ... an alternative!

I mean, that plus better uptime.

And of course by extension it is also one of the core reasons not to use Cloudflare.
Two words: Ling's Cars.
No they aren't. All they are doing is pointing out a temporal correlation. Inference of causality is left to the whim of the reader.
Individuals are able to sue Meta for their own redress, are they not?

As those are heavily vying to be the three worst things in IT, I'll pass.

Thanks for the warning!

It isn't virtue signalling if they actually do it. Then it is just virtuous.

Using your phone in a cinema was, is and ever will be a massive faux pas. I have no idea at all why you think it might be otherwise.

Grot is usually intentionally and always utterly unfit for purpose.
Do you drive over a lot of cattle grids?

CD players are precision items and don't take kindly to high impulse. Conversely, many tape decks are seriously robust. My dad had an old Grundig tape deck that was built like a tank (or a 380Z). Pretty sure whoever has that now is still getting quality sounds out of it.

Re:You Don't Love Systemd Timers Enough on Tuesday June 02, 2026 @11:26AM (#48371524)
Of course you can do this trivially in cron as well. It is what the CRON_TZ variable is for.
Completely agree. A fresh install beats an in-place major version upgrade every time. Less hazardous and gives an easy path to clear out all the accumulated crud.
Re:AI is just unauthorised plagiarism at a bigger scale on Thursday May 21, 2026 @02:11PM (#48226806)
Not necessarily. You can spend your cryptocoins with any number of businesses and it is very much the choice of those businesses to accept them or not. No private individuals need be involved.

Note also that any non-crypto currency can also devalue at any moment, although perhaps not to the same extent. Holding anything of any perceived value carries a risk and also a potential reward.
