To decrease rent, increase supply. This isn't complicated.
Re:A judge ordered us to turn over privileged documents on Saturday June 15, 2024 @09:17AM (#40689610)
The first amendment has freedom of the press.
This just isn't true. Rents decreased in Texas after an increase in supply. Increasing supply will decrease prices. Freeways typically don't cost money so that doesn't apply.

Re:100 Years of Rent Control in Sweden on Saturday March 09, 2024 @05:24PM (#39655184)
Rent control just rewards people who are lucky enough to get locked in lower rates. The best way to make rent affordable is to increase supply, then the price will fall.
Re:Price fixing by algorithm is still price fixing on Saturday March 02, 2024 @05:26PM (#39576317)
Doesn't rent control just reward people lucky enough to rent before prices increased? Wouldn't increasing supply be a better way to reduce prices?

Re:Ode to the M1 on Sunday August 13, 2023 @12:38AM (#37106727)
I think it would be faster to use an ARM64 VM and use Rosetta, FEX-Emu, or Box64 for x86 programs inside the VM.

Isn’t it Pro, Max, Ultra?
I believe iCloud can be configured to be E2E, but it is not E2E by default.
Re:FoundationDB: A Distributed Key-Value Store on Monday July 03, 2023 @11:05AM (#36573937)
As far as I can tell, FoundationDB was never open source until Apple open sourced it.
If a project puts lives at risk, it absolutely is reckless to proceed until concerns are addressed.
I can see an issue. Someone makes a bill called the Save Puppies Act with terrible stuff in it and everyone votes for it without reading the bill. No one has time to read every bill. Potentially it could be done with a few bills during presidential election years.
Why couldn’t it be authorized by the owner of the car?
This is an M1 with 16 GB of RAM not 16 inch.
Dolphin doesn’t run Switch games.
They are freezing salaries because they think employees will not be able to find an employer offering them more money. If they could freeze salaries every year they would.
Comparing Jan 6th to this is ludicrous. There is a difference between insurrection and protests.
