This doesn't make any sense.

If you have AGI, when a situation presents itself that needs a particular thing solved - it'll then go the math thing specific to the situation.

People need to separate out the alien intelligence vs human intelligence.

Its easy to demonstrate this: The math hysteria passes Lean but no human can make sense of it at present. This is akin to bots telling humans where to dig. Thats fine but lets be clear about whats going on.

The right conclusion is that LLMs are an alien type of intelligence - if you can even call it that.

And that's not really surprising. We are not supposed to re-create humans but build something better than a human.
