Thanks! 8bitworkshop is a great resource.

I am currently working through this online course by Gustavo Pezzi called "6502 Assembly Language for the Atari 2600". https://courses.pikuma.com/courses/atari2600 It has been excellent. Just the pace and level of detail that I need. I am lucky to have stumbled upon it.

I am also reading "Making Games for the Atari 2600" by Steven Hugg. Previously I was simply exploring what is available on http://www.6502.org/, working through the Easy 6502 tutorial https://skilldrick.github.io/easy6502/, and checking out YouTube tutorials.

6502 assembly language for the Atari 2600 (which actually uses a 6507). I've always wanted a lower level understanding of computers, but it took childhood nostalgia to finally motivate me. I also enjoy reading about the original engineers from Atari, Activision, Commodore, etc, so it's been rewarding to dabble in that world.

Great work, I really like this.

The concept of code as data became intuitive to me after reading "The Nature of Lisp".

https://www.defmacro.org/ramblings/lisp.html

My checkout experience:

Enabled the button, clicked it, nothing happened. Looked in Firebug at the Network console, saw a failure come back from the 'Pay' step.

Triple-checked my payment info, clicked the button once more. 25-30 seconds later, I got two consecutive "Something went wrong" javascript alerts. A minute or so later, I got two confirmation emails, lacking any useful details. I'm guessing I was charged twice.

Once it is possible to log into the site, I will see what my order status says. Right now /login continues to time-out.

This is a terrific documentary, one of the most best I've ever seen. In my opinion Edward Bernays was one of the most (negatively) influential people of the 20th century.
Re:Ask HN: Anyone making a living from just 1 app? on Friday October 08, 2010 @03:58PM (#1773111)
My fiancee is a jewelry designer, making a living selling her work on the website I built for her (http://www.ghostlove.com). Not exactly an app as such, but what the heck :)
Re:Non-web startups, anyone is doing these? on Friday October 09, 2009 @04:33PM (#872385)
Agreed. I'd love to hear more along these lines.

My fiancee and I have formed a company around her custom jewelry and fashion designs. We're getting all the pieces in place and are very close to launching.

Re:Palm Pre to arrive on Sprint on June 6 on Tuesday May 19, 2009 @12:46PM (#617101)
FWIW, I've been on Sprint (by way of Helio) for 1.5 years in Northern NJ, and their voice service has been rock solid for me.

My top priorities are pretty much the same as yours (phone, email, web). Basically if the Pre has a great web browser I will most likely buy it.
