"With 4 cores and an OS that’s older than some startups' lifespans, you're basically running a vintage computing museum—do you charge admission, or is the suffering free? And coming from Hacker News, I assume you're just one upvote away from convincing yourself that running outdated hardware is actually a philosophical stance on digital minimalism."

"rocking Mac OS 10.15 like it’s 2019—did the update scare you, or are you just nostalgic for the pre-pandemic era?"
If that happens then bye bye google maps, gmail, search, free youtube, facebook, instagram, whatsapp
Is Ollama related to the llama models?
Nobody knows and investors are guessing. Their confidence has been rocked and uncertainty has been introduced.
Which replies in particular? I read that thread and didn't see any bias?

I would look at the claim that it would 10x feature dev. Where did that claim come from? Afaik, OpenAI and Anthropic don't make that claim.
Did Twitter/X remove blocking or something?
cantgetadotcom.com is available
And what was banned where?
That's awesome.. huge congrats!
I don't think I know one or will come across one.
Why are libertarians weridos?
A bit intuitive - the instructions should be on the screen next to the map
Don't download titkok. It's like Shorts but works a lot better.
Both are like using slot machines but on tiktok you win (dopamine hit) more often - or at whatever rate the house wants you to.
1-2 min video doesn't feel sufficient. Alternatively, a few screenshots uploaded to chatgpt would give the same idea.
Examples of those people?
Being up to date allows you to be in a better position for unexpected change
Can you provide some more info? How did you integrate the agents into an office suite? Is that a bespoke office suite?
> But if you have been through multiple M&A/boom bust cycles (especially with well known firms) it is not as crazy
It must be rare to have been through multiple of these events, right?
That's similar to how I use LLMs but what is special about cursor? The fact it applies the updates without copy pasting?
I use this sometimes and it's a nice source of news. But, and this is an honest question, will this get eaten by something like this?:
"ChatGPT, set a daily/weekly task to give me the most significant news. Use this ranking criteria: <input criteria>"
The VS clone that lets you use other companies AI models? I have actually tried it but didn't "get" it. What is good about it?
No imo. no real names, no real profiles, no following or friending people aka no connections, no chat/DMs, no personal updates, no tagging, no pictures/videos/stories
Losing touch with old acquaintances is just part of getting older. fwiw, my experience is that I stayed on social media (although I don't post anything, I just keep the account) and still missed huge life updates. I reckon about 80-90% of my FB friends don't post to FB or Insta anymore. They just don't post anywhere.
I agree with you but the second point is actually good:
"When people would begin to interrupt me, I would continue on with my sentence regardless of them speaking, and I would finish my sentence. I would be prepared to let it get a little awkward if they don’t get the hint at first"
I think this one applies less in a friends setting and maybe more in the workplace but sometimes you have to put your foot down and insist you won't be interrupted.
Try asking questions to engage responses. Let's say someone brings up Thailand in a conversation..
You might say: "Oh, I went to Chang Mai 2 years ago. I went with my buddy and we found this small waterfall while bike riding. It was pretty cool". Something like this is hard to respond to.
Or you might say: "Has anyone been to Chang Mai?" and then engage the conversation from there. You steered the conversation to your interest and now you can see who bites.
