>FBI found someone inside they could negotiate with(IE- better patents or the threat of denied patents)
>FBI found someone they could bribe
>FBI hacked and broke into the iphone
3/3 of those Apple wants to keep quiet.
Timestamps and voting do not seem to be valuable, this was the craze over alt coins.
These are outside our control? I found both were achieved by choosing to be an engineer and going above and beyond.
When Medical got regulated in the U.S. the prices skyrocketed, and customer care stagnated. The regulators were incentivized to create a monopoly by the entrenched medical professionals.
Now people are asking for more regulations. Is that the solution?
>the government
There is no 'the government'.
The government is an entity of elected and unelected people. They have their own bias, their own friends, their own wants.
I have stopped using Facebook because it sucks, but if the government sucks, I am forced to use them.
Knew it was a scam and did it anyway?
These are the people that need to have conversations with economists.
The sweat shop workers, the company, the customers.
Sweat shop workers are losing their ability to do mindless labor, next up, they will be using their brains to make low skill decisions where automation cannot. Think Amazon Turk.
Customers get lower cost, likely higher quality products.
Company gets more reliable workforce.
>It's all fun and games until you have to take into consideration the soci-economical aspect of automation.
This has already happened in history. You COULD make it illegal, but then your countries technology will be out performed by another country.
---
Its easy to disagree, its harder to come up with your own solutions.
The embedded work is basically done, but he was considering using JS and three.js, any suggestions/advice?
Who is 'countries'? The president? The deep state?
I am not sure I want anyone but a group of decentralized nerds in control of this. And that control be optional.
> spit them out as burned-out husks with no savings at the age of 35, hey, that's the system we live in.
This sounds really bad until you look at the happy contractors making over 6 figures, and are on track to retire in their 30s.
Everyone likes to complain, everyone wants more money. If you are making 6 figs and can't retire by 40, that was a personal decision.
Forming logical conclusions on anything Apple does is dangerous. They overcharge and under deliver(at least on Hardware). They are primarily marketing, not tech.
For this same reason, their valuation is irrational. I don't expect Apple to be above 500M for much longer than a few years.
I was using Welcome.js instead of Home.js
I was happy, kinda. But also, wondering if I solved the issue earlier in the week.
Lots of these topics have different outcomes when you start to assume sci-fi tech. I won't argue about what life should be like when we build fusion reactors or figure out nuclear 3D printing.
But having fun making art means little to an economy.
Having less fun designing a robot to pick potatoes will transform an economy.
Creativity is nice, but it doesn't directly correlate with additional value.
This type of thinking needs to stop.
You don't get to enjoy our lavish society without contributing.
If you want food and a shack, you can already live this lifestyle for less than 5k/yr.
Hanging out with your family, playing sports, and helping animals will not keep an economy moving.
Unless I am inspired, I will not work for free.
I imagine the opposite would be true for myself, and I consider myself a hard worker.
Jobs are literally necessary for our society to function.
If everyone was jobless but 'happy', they wouldn't be happy when the food runs out. Or houses start to get old. Or iphones stop being built and websites are taken offline.
Economics are more important than a single individuals happiness, its our survival.
EDIT: Don't shoot the messenger. Fun ideas are not reality.
That said, I've heard good things about Japan's food service, and they don't require tipping.
EDIT spelling
I've been taught this like its a fact.
You know, you don't have to sign those.
I always cross out those and tell them to send it back when its fixed. Only my first job I was afraid to do this.
No mention of wages and jobs.
In Electrical Engineering(US), its vicious the amount of competition trying to get me.
Vacation policy? Unpaid, but at 60$/hr, I just afford to take 3 weeks of vacation, but 2 weeks of holidays too.
I blame your teachers.
Some people want to release products and not pay for advertising, some people want to watch football.
Precalc and English were me 2 most useful classes.
"Science" "engineering" and "history" were actually useless. If you were going to get further education, college science eclipses HS science in 1 semester. My Engineering class was the most absurd, it wasn't engineering. History was basically propaganda.
High school needs to end sooner. AP classes are the sign of this.
I might go back, I do not like the look of my house, and I find myself turning on my living room lights AND dining room lights. The brightness wasn't there.
There is massive improvement to be made on LEDs still.
