speaking of their google results, let's also draw attention to the fact that they lie about post dates in google results to get you to click on a result from this week, only to click through and find that it's a post 7 years old

the point i was making was less that this speedup of nuclear draw down was problematic so much as the whole viewpoint that ending advancement of nuclear power as a whole. germany limiting the lifespan and new construction of nuclear power dates back to the early 2000s, fukushima just reset the timelines back to the original 2022 closing dates.

samsung is a multi-armed beast, and a lot of their profits come from being a component maker for other companies.

it doesn't work quite like that, though; while nuclear is down to ~13%, a quarter of the german energy sector is still burning coal. in fact, the plan to shut down fossil fuels was hindered by (imo) the short-sighted view to curtail nuclear before it was necessary.

they show you the kitchen and a shot of the bathroom sink in these pictures, actually. it's just so minimalist that it's not that obvious. not quite to my taste but that's in part because they just want to show off the building itself.
really, though, you can finish them like any other house; there's nothing special about the kitchen, bathroom, or walls that precludes it.
aside from the striping, i imagine there's not that much different about building internal structures into a house like this than there is into more traditional rammed earth housing.

sure it works to some extent but it’s basically never marketed as anything like an immersive soundscape (for lack of a better term) or surround sound. like, i should be able to put on a simple pair of headphones and reliably get a surround experience for any content that supports it on pc or mobile. it’s probably patent encumbrance which is why we see a dolby plugin in the microsoft store and stereo headphones marketed as surround for a (often substantially) higher price with an included dongle to virtualize the audio

i went to a qualcomm presentation at CES a decade ago where they demoed surround sound with basic cheap stereo cans and it was impressive as hell. i was always surprised it never seemed to take off as a general thing.

it's not really that. it's because of google's arcane search requirements. these authors want their results to appear high up in google search results and one of the ways to do it is to have all this accompanying text.
because their list of ingredients and steps are still not copyrightable even if all the surrounding text is.
