Strange conclusion to draw. Ivermectin is an antiparasitic, doses much higher than the maximum approved or safely achievable for use in humans would be required for an antiviral effect. Joe never provided any evidence for his claims, and the studies have been problematic to say the least. [1]

So he remains completely wrong, as usual. This single study from "Cureus" seems to correlate that treating your parasites with an antiparasitic could help you recover from COVID in one specific part of the world though.

No, he was not right. The correct interpretation is, "where parasite infections are endemic, treat that and your health will benefit." And, wear your mask.

Nobody "dogmatically hates the drug". It is an excellent treatment for parasites, cheap and well-tolerated as parasite treatments go.

Many have reason to hate people who advocate for dosing with anti-parasite drugs instead of getting vaccinated, because it makes people die. Many people have family who were not protected, and died, unnecessarily. I am not among those. But my brother rejected vaccination, and his wife and kids all got COVID. (He was away.)

Yeah, the vaccine or therapeutics and nothing in between people like you aren’t helping anyone.

Why would they apologise ?

People were literally taking the horse de-wormer formulations because they couldn't buy it legally.

Source? No one was taking horse de-wormer that I’m aware of. It was a fake story propagated by the rolling stone magazine.

I spend a decent amount of time monitoring ultra right forums. People were absolutely claiming to be taking horse dewormer, discussing where to find it and how to convince feed store employees they had livestock, and trading it.

I took it with great success.

Pre-infection prophylaxis is not the same as treatment for infection. That's where a large number of people had things wrong.

All the big proponents of Ivermectin I've seen always insisted on the importance of early treatment. I feel like the "anti" crowd purposely insisted on the null results in other situations.

This study had people stop ivermectin when they tested positive.
