It's more of an issue where you didn't read the article, and are talking about something irrelevant to its points. Presumably because you thought you knew what it was about from the title or a quick skim. What purpose does that serve?

You have a more articulate way than usual to package this classic of homophobia. But you miss the point, the article is not about that.
